The conference title, The Engineer and the World, reflects the International Engineering Alliance’s recognition of the need for future engineers to advance the achievement and sustainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The UN SDGs form the basis of the themes for AAEE2024, and these themes are interwoven with four learning and teaching topics: innovative pedagogy, learner perspectives, graduate outcomes, and community and industry needs.
AAEE 2024 will catalyse and inform future innovation and research on integrating more sustainability into engineering education.
The welcome reception, starting with a Mihi Whakatau, is scheduled for Sunday 8 December from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Ara Institute of Canterbury.
